Legal Marijuana

I’m sure many of you are aware that legal Marijuana is primarily sold for medicinal purposes. Also known as medical marijuana, unfortunately the U.S. has not adopted a general countrywide approach to the legalization of marijuana. The fact that the term medical marijuana even exists and that it is permitted in certain states obviously means that it works. The powers that be know very well that marijuana is a miracle plant but they are also fully aware that increased use of marijuana by the general population would results in massive losses in their beloved pharmaceutical industry.

Government is also fully aware that people can grow their own crops and that doing so would mean that governments cannot earn taxes from it.  The good news is that all is not lost, we can use loop holes in the medical marijuana legislation to ensure that people who choose to smoke marijuana cannot be arrested. We can exploit a system that has been exploiting us for decades and continues to do so.

The US War on Drugs has to be the height of insanity
Driven by the Drug War, the U.S. prison population is six to ten times as high as most Western European nations. The U.S. is a very close second only to Russia in its rate of incarceration per 100,000 people. In 2000 alone, more than 734,000 people were arrested for marijuana-related offenses.

FBI statistics indicate that one marijuana smoker is arrested every 45seconds in America.

Now if we had to consider that the average cost to house a prisoner for a year is $45 000.  It becomes clear that billions of dollars gets wasted every year on marijuana related offenses.  Another point to take into consideration is that the prison system is a massive cash cow for all parties involved, including government.  This off course is a whole new topic of discussion and would require a completely separate platform.  Essentially this website site is about promoting marijuana awareness on a global scale. For far too long people have been misinformed about marijuana primarily due to inefficient drug education programs.

The benefits of marijuana are huge and embracing these benefits can have a massive impact in the economy, healthcare, the environment and society as a whole.  The only way we can change the bad stigma associated with this amazing plant is through proper education. Many people are under the impression that cannabis can only be consumed from smoking it and tend to stay away from it, people need to become aware that cannabis can also be consumed orally as a tea, oil or even baked goods.

Marijuana does not cause brain damage, genetic damage, or damage the immune system. Unlike alcohol, marijuana does not kill brain cells or induce violent behavior.
